Shooting locations and resources
The Montréal Film and Television Commission accompanies in many ways producers who consider Montréal as a filming location.

Expeditious assembly of photo portfolios from a photo library numbering thousands of pictures of potential shooting locations in the Montréal area (with an emphasis on exteriors);

Logistics and Permits
The Montréal Film and Television Commission emits filming and parking permits for Montréal's public domain (streets, sidewalks, parks, municipal buildings) in the 9 following burroughs:

AQPM
The Association québécoise de la production médiatique (AQPM) advises, represents and accompanies independent film, television and Web production corporations whose productions, both French and English, are recognized in Quebec and at the international level.
AQTIS 514 IATSE
The Alliance québécoise des techniciens et techniciennes de l'image et du son (AQTIS - Alliance of Image and Sound Technicians) represents some 6000 freelance professionals in more than 150 trades associated with the design, planning, set-up or creation of audiovisual productions. It represents, defends and promotes their interests in dealing with various stakeholders, provides them with a social safety net, and negotiates collective agreements that establish the working conditions to which they are entitled.
DGC
The Quebec Council of the Directors Guild of Canada (DGC QC) represents more than 800 members working in occupations that cover a broad range of film and television production, both at the artistic and logistical levels.
Cast
For its culturally diverse actors speaking multiple languages and its vast pool of extras from 120 different cultural communities.
UDA
The UDA represents French speaking professional artists working out of Quebec and elsewhere in Canada as well as artists working in another language than French with the exception of productions done in English and destined mainly to an English speaking audience.
ACTRA
ACTRA (Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists) is the union of more than 23,000 professional performers working in English-language recorded media in Canada including TV, film, radio and digital media.

The Montréal Film and Television Commission has the mandate of making the City of Montreal's public domain available for film shoots. Therefore, to optimise your filming experience on public domain, we invite you to follow the three steps below. The MFTC recommends a three week delay between the time you register your production and the first shooting day.
